FAQ

Straight answers on recourse, costs, delays, and timing.

Subtrade Capital Corp. advances against statutory holdback on completed and paid invoices on bonded industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) and ICI-like projects. Specific terms sit in a term sheet after we review your file.

Is this a non-recourse advance?

No. Repayment is expected from holdback release proceeds. The advance is a loan to you and may require additional collateral in the form of other holdbacks or potentially a personal guarantee. Charges accrue until it is repaid.

What are the costs?

Pricing is typically a monthly rate plus a setup fee. The all-in cost is disclosed in writing before you commit.

What if holdback release is delayed?

Statutory holdback follows a defined timeline once substantial performance is certified. Actual release also depends on certification, lien periods, deficiencies, and payor performance. Charges generally continue until the advance is repaid. We underwrite those risks up front; talk to us about how a delay would be handled on your file.

Can I repay early?

Yes. You can repay anytime.

How fast do you say yes or no?

We aim to tell you quickly if a file is out of scope. If it looks like a fit, we request documents and follow up on underwriting. Timing depends on how complete the file is. Use the Apply form to start.
